Camp Chair Hammock

Camp Chair Hammock:
I have been looking for a quick and easy alternative for a camp chair over the last few months and came up with two different designs which I will share with you. The first of which can be made with a sheet, tarp or any other available fabric with sufficient tinsel strength. The first step in this process is to build a standard tripod (Instructions HERE) Which will act as your chairs platform (be sure to obtain trees which are close to your wrist size to ensure they can support your weight).
 1) Get a cross brace that will hang over roughly 6" past the tripod leg (make sure it is at least 2x your body width for your comfort). Be sure to lash the front stick in the same manner as you would a tripod (I utilize an "X" lash to ensure the strength of the chair).
2) Utilize two stones wrapped in the material and then lashed to the stick to keep the bottom of the chair intact when you sit down. This is one of the most critical steps to ensure the security of your chair, if there is a failure here expect to meet the ground in a quick and abrupt manner!
3) Secure the top of the seat material to the top of the tripod. Once again wrap the material around a rock and then secure it to all three parts of the tripod and around the rear leg. The material should be fed through the top of the tripod as well to help ensure the efficient distribution of weight.
 4) The final product should look like this and should easily support >400 lbs depending on the material you select for the chair. Fair warning it is quite comfortable and you may very well end up falling asleep in your creation.
5) A quick view of the chair in action on the 4th!

As always I look forward to your questions and comments!
